A year or more in business earns 10 points; a newer business can still qualify. Profit in most months earns 20 points; consistent profit earns 30. “Ready for franchise development” requires 80+ points and all four essentials: paying customers, profit in most months, demand, and a model others can learn and repeat. Scores of 50+ with a missing essential receive “Potential worth exploring”; lower scores receive “Build your business foundation.” SOPs, financial documentation, and current owner independence are planning questions only and do not affect your score.
